Steve Dickinson has posted an excellent article on China Law Blog about how the fear factor often means that foreign companies don't even try to protect their Intellectual Property Rights in China. He says that this is a mistake. Steve says that for most foreign businesses there are chinese laws that will protect them, there are several high profile exceptions such as DVD's and Software, but this isn't actually so relevant for most businesses entering the Chinese Market.
